7-V Ranch Outfitters boasts one of the largest populations of Merriam Turkeys in The Breaks of eastern Montana. Our unique landscape provides a beautiful backdrop to match your wits against a big Tom. Birds are roosted at night, then hunted as they leave the roost at daybreak. Calling, decoys, blind hunting and spot-and-stalk methods are all utilized to maximize your chance at tagging out with two birds.
Our turkey hunts are 3 days. There is a minimum party size of 2 hunters for turkey hunts, with a price break offered for hunting parties of 4 or more.
Upland Game Bird Hunts
One of the more laidback hunts we offer is our upland game bird hunt. Flush sharp-tailed grouse, Hungarian partridge, sage grouse and pheasants from a sagebrush flat or the tall prairie grass.
Upland game bird hunts are based off a daily rate with a two-hunter minimum.
7-V Ranch Outfitters does not provide dogs for bird hunting. Hunters are welcome to bring their own, if desired. *
*Stock dogs are present at basecamp locations. 7-V Ranch Outfitters is not responsible for any injury that may occur to an unrestrained dog in camp. Hunters are responsible for securing dogs while in camp.
